When it comes to business, I was actually asked today by another business owner, what is my business model and how are you so successful within your VA business? You know what, I had to think about it for a few minutes. I thought to myself I already have a business and marketing plan for my business, but what is actually my business model. In one word I replied back, persistence!!!

I realise “Tony Robbins” talks about this subject quite often. Personally for me, ‘persistence’ is everything. When your a small business owner, you cannot give up. Even if you have had the worst day/week and think, that’s it, I’ve had enough, want to throw it all in and go back to the 9 to 5 grind. Don’t do it!!!

When you ‘Google’ the word ‘persistence’ it means continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. The synonyms stand for perseverance; tenacity; determination; resolve; resolution; purposefulness; firmness of purpose; patience; endurance; application; diligence; dedication; commitment; pertinacity; steadfastness.

So when you look at the synonym of what ‘persistence’ stands for, really it is everything that you need to be, to be a successful business owner. It definitely does overshadow talent, if you don’t have all these attributes then you don’t have a business.

This is what I love about people in business, it’s all a combination of those synonym’s that makes them such successful entrepreneurs/business owners. For myself, I am the business owner of two Virtual Assistant businesses.  I remember many years back at school on my report cards and teachers would comment “Barbara is an excellent student, she shows great tenacity and perseverance and this will serve her well in the future” I used to think what are these teachers on about, but they were so right!

You can have all the degrees, qualifications in the world, but ‘persistence’ does overshadow even talent as the most valuable resource.

Don’t forget this ‘valuable resource’ yes ‘persistence’ is the key to success!

If you want to find out more about what I do in my VA businesses, then do not hesitate to contact me anytime via email, mobile or my website or PM via Facebook.
